Más allá de mantener su condición de aforada, a Rita Barberá no le viene nada mal económicamente abandonar el Partido Popular y pasarse al Grupo Mixto en el Senado. La exalcaldesa de Valencia ganará unos 2.300 euros más al mes cuando pase a formar parte del Grupo Mixto, como consecuencia del reparto proporcional de la asignación que da el Senado al grupo para su funcionamiento. Sumado a su sueldo normal, ingresará casi 7.000 euros.
La cifra definitiva se conocerá en las próximas semanas, cuando este grupo tan heterogéneo se reorganice con la llegada de Barberá y haga cuentas, según han explicado fuentes parlamentarias. Estas mismas fuentes explican que estos senadores entregan parte de ese dinero al grupo para financiar gastos comunes, aunque no tienen obligación legal de hacerlo.
Ese nuevo ingreso se sumará a los 4.635 de sueldo que la exalcaldesa ya cobra: 2.813,91 de sueldo base más 1.822 euros de indemnización por ser senadora de fuera de la Comunidad de Madrid (en el caso de los madrileños, la ayuda es de 869 euros al mes). En total, casi 7.000 euros.
Barberá será al menos vocal de una Comisión
El Grupo Mixto del Senado está formado en esta legislatura por 16 senadores de diez partidos políticos: cuatro de Convergència, tres de Ciudadanos, dos de Compromís y uno, respectivamente, de UPN, Coalición Canaria, Nueva Canarias, Agrupación Socialista Gomera y Agrupación Herreña Independiente, de Foro y de Bildu.
