Ocho años han pasado desde aquel 15 de mayo de 2011 que prendió la mecha de la indignación ciudadana que unos días más tarde sonaría en un clamor en las abarrotadas plazas de todas las grandes ciudades de España, después del desalojo violento por parte de la Policía de la primera improvisada acampada nocturna que siguió a la multitudinaria manifestación convocada por Democracia Real Ya! ese domingo de mayo.
La sacudida política asestó un duro golpe al bipartidismo tan criticado por el 15M, dando lugar al surgimiento de nuevos partidos que hoy dejan una composición diferente de las bancadas del Congreso, pero la mayoría de las reivindicaciones del movimiento, que acabaron teniendo resonancia en los programas electorales, continúan sin recibir respuesta real a las problemáticas sociales, plasmadas en tantos lemas y consignas gritadas en las plazas y que aún conservan su vigencia.
El lema inicial “No somos mercancía en manos de políticos y banqueros”, que aglutinara tantas consciencias en las calles (“Dormíamos, despertamos”), dio a luz a muchos eslóganes que hoy en día siguen resultando certeros y válidos ante el panorama económico y político actual, como los tan coreado aquellos días de “¡No hay pan para tanto chorizo!”, “No es una crisis, es una estafa”, “No falta dinero, sobran ladrones”, “Los políticos nos mean, los medios dicen que llueve” o el que resume la realidad de ahora para tantas familias españolas “No me llega el mes a final de sueldo”.
La imaginación para generar mensajes transversales que golpeaban consciencias y movilizaban a la ciudadanía fue una de las características del movimiento social que forma ya parte de nuestra historia política.
